Falcon coaches Bill Pierce, Bill Green, and the rest of the Pee Wee coaches were recognized in a Contra Costa Times article this month. Freedom High School is holding their basketball cheer clinic in February. Participants will receive 2 days of instruction on Wednesday, February 8th and Thursday, February 9th, from 4:00PM to 6:30PM. Participants will perform during half-time of the game between Freedom and Heritage on Friday night. Game time is 7:00PM on February 10th, and will be played at Freedom High School.

Participants must register by Thursday, February 2nd. Please download the attached flyer and mail it, along with the $50 registration fee, according to the instructions provided. This is a fundraiser for Freedom High School cheer, and will benefit the team as they attempt to extend their back-to-back championship title in Anaheim at the end of March.

Registration for the 2012 season will begin in February. Registration will take place at the Straw Hat near Winco at 6680 Lone Tree Way, Brentwood, CA 94513.

Falcons Jr Midget National 4th Place WinnersThe Falcons Jr Midget Cheer team took 4th place at the Pop Warner National Cheer competition. Competing in the Small Novice category at the ESPN Sports Center in Disney World, the squad finished less than 2/10ths of a point behind the 3rd place team. Congratulations to the Jr Midget Cheer team for their outstanding season!

Jr Pee Wee Falcons Best Of The West Champs

The Falcon Jr Pee Wee squad completed an undefeated season with a 40-14 triumph over the San Marcos Cavaliers. San Marcos represented the Wescon Region in the 2nd Best Of The West Bowl, which took place this year in Temecula, CA.

After an early turnover the Falcons offense scored twice to take a 16-0 lead before the 1st quarter expired. With the defense firing on all cylinders the game slowed down a bit, before the Falcons struck again in the final minute of the 2nd quarter to take a 24-0 lead into the half. The teams traded scores in the 3rd and 4th quarters, which resulted in the final 40-14 margin.
