2012 Registration Dates

Registration for the 2012 season will begin in February. Registration will take place at the Straw Hat near Winco at 6680 Lone Tree Way, Brentwood, CA 94513.

February 13, 6:00PM to 8:00PM

February 27, 6:00PM to 8:00PM

March 4, 1:00PM to 4:00PM

March 12, 6:00PM to 8:00PM

We will accept the official Pop Warner physical form, a recent wallet-sized photo, and a copy of the birth certificate at this time. The physical form must be dated this year. A BOYFL participation form will be available at registration. This includes contact information, payment detail, and confirmation that you have read and agreed to abide by our 2012 Code Of Conduct. Copies of the Code Of Conduct will be available at registration.

2012 Poker Tournament

BOYFL is holding a Texas Hold'em Poker tournament fundraiser to benefit the kids who participate in football and cheer. Early registration is appreciated, as we need to pay our deposit by end of the month.

The tournament will be held at Straw Hat Pizza on 6680 Lone Tree Way (by Winco). Check in time is 5:00PM, and the event will run from 6:00PM to 10:00PM. Prizes will be awarded for those with the most chips at the end of the tournament.

Chili's will donate 15% of your meal to our Falcons organization. Share the coupons with your friends, come support the football and cheer program, and have a great time out!

Falcons Jr Midget National 4th Place WinnersThe Falcons Jr Midget Cheer team took 4th place at the Pop Warner National Cheer competition. Competing in the Small Novice category at the ESPN Sports Center in Disney World, the squad finished less than 2/10ths of a point behind the 3rd place team. Congratulations to the Jr Midget Cheer team for their outstanding season!

Jr Pee Wee Falcons Best Of The West Victors

Jr Pee Wee Falcons Best Of The West Champs

The Falcon Jr Pee Wee squad completed an undefeated season with a 40-14 triumph over the San Marcos Cavaliers. San Marcos represented the Wescon Region in the 2nd Best Of The West Bowl, which took place this year in Temecula, CA.

After an early turnover the Falcons offense scored twice to take a 16-0 lead before the 1st quarter expired. With the defense firing on all cylinders the game slowed down a bit, before the Falcons struck again in the final minute of the 2nd quarter to take a 24-0 lead into the half. The teams traded scores in the 3rd and 4th quarters, which resulted in the final 40-14 margin.

Congratulations to the entire Jr Pee Wee team, which was led this season by Coach Scott Goldston.

Jr Midget Cheer Takes Regionals

Jr Midget Pacific Northwest Regional Champions

Our Jr Midget cheer squad has advanced to the Pop Warner Nationals Competition by taking 1st place in their division on November 25th. Following up their Peninsula Conference win with another impressive score, the team will take on 16 other squads from across the country on Wednesday, December 7th. The 2011 Nationals will once again take place in Florida at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World.

Pacific Northwest DIII Regional Championship Results

Falcon Jr Pee Wee Regional ChampsOur Falcon Jr Pee Wee team completed another step in their outstanding 2011 season, defeating the East County Jets from Southwest Washington by a score of 22-6. After giving up an early score the Falcons broke through to block the extra point. Returning the ensuing kickoff to their own 43 yard line, the Falcons marched down field and quickly tied the score, and subsequently took the lead with a 2 point conversion. The rest of the half featured a goal line stand by the Falcon defense. After allowing the Jets to reach the Falcon 6 yeard line, the Falcon defense, coupled with a Jets offside penalty, forced the Jets to turn the ball over on downs back at the 22. After the offense was unable to generate a 1st down the Jets once again had the ball deep in Falcon territory. A personal foul call moved the Jets down to the Falcon 23, but the defense held once again.

With the momentum firmly back on the Falcons' side of the field, the Falcons struck quickly to start the 2nd half. A 76 yard kickoff return for a touchdown immediately stretched the Falcon lead to 14-6. After the Falcon defense forced a 4 and out, the offense took over at the Jet 49. Moving quickly down the field, the Falcons scored again. The extra point try was good, and the Falcons extended their lead to the final score of 22-6 to take the Pacific Northwest Regional DIII title.

The Falcons will travel to Temecula for one final game against the Wescon Regional winner San Marcos Cavaliers. The game will be at 9:00AM on Saturday, December 3rd and will be the opening game of the 2nd Annual Best of the West Bowl, which features teams from the Pacific Northwest and Wescon regions of Pop Warner.

DIII Championship Results

Jr Pee Wee Peninsula Conference ChampsCongratulations to our Jr Pee Wee team, who completed a remarkable season en route to a Peninsula Pop Warner championship, defeating the Pacifica Tiger Sharks 24-12. Our Falcons fell behind early, but came back from a 12-8 deficit at the half to secure the victory.

Our Jr Midget team took a tough defeat at the hands of the Bay Cities Bulldogs. Our Falcons came back from a touchdown back late in the first half, completing 3 consecutive passes to tie the score as time expired. The Falcons came charging back again in the 4th, driving down field to close the gap to 20-12 late in the quarter, but were not able to get the ball back.

Congratulations to both teams for making it to the conference finals. Please come support our Jr Pee Wee squad this Saturday, November 19th, as Coach Scott Goldston will lead the squad in their Regional Championship game against the East County Jets. Game time is 9:00AM at Gilroy High School, 750 W 10th Street, Gilroy, CA 95020.

DIII Championship Update

The Jr Pee Wee game has been moved to this Sunday. The schedule for this weekend is now as follows

8:00AM - Jr Pee Wee vs Pacifica

Noon - Jr Midget vs Bay Cities

The games are still at Andrew Hill High School in San Jose.
